Online concert: The UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra plays compositions by KUG students

The UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra, conducted by KUG professor Ed Partyka, will perform compositions by KUG students in a Live-Stream concert on 8 March.

UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra performs a selection of music from student composers of the Sibelius Academy and the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz. The material is picked from the online jazz composition masterclasses held in November 2020.

UMO features some of Europe’s most talented emerging big band writers, giving them a chance to have their music rehearsed and performed by one of Europe’s leading jazz orchestras. The online concert will be conducted by KUG jazz professor Ed Partyka, who has been leading the UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra since the beginning of 2020. Read more here.
