Registration Now Open: 9th Graz Big Band Workshop, September 3-7, 2024

We are proud to present the 9th edition of the Graz Big Band Workshop series in 2024. After its highly successful inception, the workshop has become a cornerstone of youth promotion and the Lifelong Learning program at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz. From September 3rd to 7th, 2024, we invite musicians of all ages to join us at the Jazz Institute. Under the guidance of highly qualified instructors, participants will work on a full evening's Big Band program. This will be presented under the baton of Johannes Oppel on September 7th, 2024, at the Theater im Palais (T.i.P.), a major concert hall of the university. Jazz phrasing, ensemble playing in a Big Band, and the basics of improvisation are the key focus areas of this comprehensive learning program.
